While mainstream polemic is astonished with the extent of violence in our region (the region in a broader sense, including post-Soviet space and the Middle East), we would argue that it never left in the first place. Violence is an inalienable phenomenon of social relations. What has been absent in our part of the world is the deeper reflection, elaboration, and reassessment of the limited conceptions of violence is and our positioning towards it.
