Call for Papers: 2025 Peace and Justice Forum

First in its format Peace and Justice Forum invites researchers, practitioners, and activists to submit articles and panel proposals for the 2025 Peace and Justice Forum, which will focus on pressing questions related to peace, justice, and decoloniality in South Caucasus. This interdisciplinary event, set to take place in July 2025, aims to foster critical dialogue and innovative approaches to social change and long-lasting conflicts.

Themes and Scope

We welcome submissions on topics including but not limited to:

  • Decoloniality in the South Caucasus and beyond
  • Transitional Justice and Socio-Economic Recovery
  • Cultural Narratives and Identities in Conflict
  • The Role of Art and Activism in Social Change
  • Cross-Regional Perspectives on Conflict and Peace

Submission Types

We are currently accepting research articles for the analytical stream of the Forum.

Submission Procedure

Please submit the abstract of the research article (500 words) by 10 January 2025. The applicants will be notified about the status of their application by the end of January. The successful applicants will be asked to submit the first draft of their articles by 15 March 2025. Research Articles (5,000–7,000 words) should include an abstract, and keywords, and adhere to APA formatting.

The final drafts should be submitted by 1 May 2025.

Review Process

The Editorial Board of the conference will review submitted articles and work individually with each submission. The final submission should be submitted no later than May 1, 2025.

Financial aid

Travel grants for the conference will be allocated based on need. If you would like to be considered for financial assistance, please also fill out this form by 10 January 2025. The selected candidates will be notified about the results of the financial assistance as well.

Benefits of Participation

Selected papers will be considered for publication in a special journal issue, and participants will have the opportunity to engage with leading scholars and practitioners in the field.
